Richard has been involved with the vintage baseball movement for over twelve years. He is a member of the Vintage Base Ball Association, the Society for American Baseball Research, the National Association for Interpretation and a volunteer with the Education Department at Sports Legends at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland.

Richard has assembled an extensive display of reproduction materials that tell the story of the evolution of baseball in America in the 19th Century. He has traveled to many vintage baseball tournaments throughout the northeast and often presents talks on different aspects of the early history of America’s national game.
